I prayed for you today!
I think I'm starting to understand what the Apostle Paul meant when he said, "I hold you in my heart." Phil 1:7
Hello friends,
This morning while having my devotional time with the Lord, something wonderful happened. As I was praying, I began to think of and pray for each of you — which is easy right now because we only have ten subscribers. It’s also easy because I know all of you personally, including some of what’s going on in your life. (BB, you’re the only exception to this, brother, so please fill David and me in on what’s happening with you. Still doing house church?)
After a few minutes, I decided to ride my Nautilus recumbent bike. (I prefer walking in the morning, but NOT when it’s 34° outside!) So I grabbed my iPhone, hooked up my earphones, and scanned my playlists for a song to ride to. The first one that caught my eye was Friend of God by Israel Houghton. I knew it was upbeat, so that’s the one I chose.
As I sat there pedaling away, singing along with the wonderfully uplifting music and lyrics, I once again thought of you. This time, however, the picture I had in my mind’s eye was of all of us singing and worshipping together in a small building. And yes, even Israel Houghton and his band were there! LOL! Trust me, we were all having a great time.
Later, as I was drinking my morning smoothie, I searched for and found the following video so you could enjoy for yourselves what I was listening to.
YOU are a friend of God!
You are MY friend, but how much more wonderful is it that you are His friend? Yes, it truly IS amazing.
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends… John 15:15 NIV
Be blessed and encouraged today knowing He’s mindful of you and whatever is going on in your life. And I’m praying for you.
I prayed for you today!
This is a treasure! Thank you for such an uplifting blog.
